I listen to a lot of off the radar indie bands. Currently: Sylvan Esso, Courtney Barnett, Bahamas and Margot and the Nuclear So and Sos have been playing a lot. I love music. Also, old punk rock slips into my playlists frequently, the inner rebel never dies.
Concert, Hike or Museum:
All are awesome; choosing between the good medicine of nature and the creative work of humanity is a challenge. I’ll take the fresh air off the Pacific while hiking in Hawaii, huge medicine there, including my spirit animal – the sea turtle.
5 in the past and 5 in the future:
5 years ago: devouring Sociology at the UW, coming awake to the world and being set up to discover Forrest Yoga as there were many things I would later need that practice for. 5 years from now: I’d love to be a social worker, using individual therapy and Forrest Yoga to mend the hoop of the people.
I am the type that reads many things at once. Currently: Fierce Medicine by Ana Forrest, 100 years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Garquez and Emanuels Book by Pat Rodegast.
Snowboarding is my deepest talent, its also my therapy; I get to unleash the not so deep down wild one that craves speed and flight.
Lounging in the sun with Erica, reading a novel. Practicing yoga, skateboarding, riding my bike, fixing something in the house. I love the summer time, comes and goes so fast, a good reminder to live fully.
