FLASHBACK TO 2009…
5 years ago I was living outside of Viroqua. My daughter Maple was 3 and my son Eider was only a few months old. We had goats, chickens and ducks running around. That summer, I had the best garden of my life. It was amazing.
RIGHT NOW THIS SUMMER:
Hopefully you will find me playing on any sort of body of water with my man and my monkeys.
CONCERT, HIKE OR MUSEUM?
All 3? My favorite hike is the Borego Trail outside of Sante Fe.
Several different memoirs of midwives,
‘Woman Who Run with Wolves’ by Clarissa Pinkola Estes,
‘Self Observation’ by Red Hawk,
and the ‘Yogahour Teacher Training Manual’ by Darren Rhodes.
I majored in Environmental Conservation and Performing Arts. I spent my early twenties dancing Butoh and doing field research.
WHAT THE HECK IS BUTOH?
“Butoh is a contemporary avant garde dance form which originated in Japan and which was first performed there in 1959. It combines dance, theater, improvisation and influences of Japanese traditional performing arts with German Expressionist dance Neue Tanz and performance art to create a unique performing art form that is both controversial and universal in its expression.”
