For years I’ve promoted living bold and healthy on the air and in my film work and writing. I opened The Studio to provide a place to bring those concepts to life…a place to inspire us all (including myself) to get our bodies and lives moving in a better direction.

I took the long road to yoga, trying it and then writing it off several times over a span of about five years. And although years as a runner and constant media deadlines left me desperate for more flexibility in my body (touching my toes was unthinkable) and peace in my mind, I found myself restless, frustrated and bored with most yoga I tried.
But the first time I walked into a heated flow class, everything changed. My body and my mind opened that day in a way I never thought possible, and I started to cry. The experience brought me to my knees and I made the commitment to make yoga a significant part of my life. I’m a better runner, mother, wife and creative person because of it.
My personal teaching is inspired by Vinyasa yoga…a fluid and flowing connection of the postures, but I’m also drawn to the precision and alignment of Iyengar Yoga and the methodical rigor of Ashtanga. I have completed 200 hour training programs with both Rolf Gates and Annie Carpenter. I’m also a certified personal fitness trainer and pull elements of anatomy and kinesiology into each yoga session.
My goal with every class I practice and teach is to come to the mat in order to live life wide open.
