The joy of movement is one of the reasons the practice of yoga has captured my full attention. As a small child, I loved to dance. Being in the yoga body reminds me of that experience of being carefree – it is like joy. Children possess that naturally, I find it in yoga. I especially enjoy sharing the limitless possibilities for our health, creative asana sequences, and uncovering parts of our physical and emotional make-up (loosening up). I have been teaching movement for fitness and health for 28 years and began teaching yoga in 1996. My teaching is an extension of my practice, which continues to evolve with therapeutic alignment, the relaxed approach of hatha, and the energy of vinyasa.

Why teach at The Studio?

The Studio has something special. Along with some of my favorite teachers, Natalie and Kathleen’s presence in the studio is inspiring. Aesthetically it feels like a haven from our busy lives, open, warm, relaxed, non-competitive and thoughtful. I’m excited to be a part of this niche in the Madison yoga community.
