Kelly Otto has been teaching yoga for over 20 years. Every class features her extensive experience and training from Ashtanga, Hatha and Iyengar to create a class that embodies alignment with freedom.
Her journey began in the early ’90s with Ashtanga training. Following a teacher training retreat in 1996 with Hatha teacher Eric Shiffmann, her approach to asana, sequencing and meditation broadened. In the late 1990’s she continued to explore alignment and the Iyengar approach, including the styles and teachings’s of Aadil Palkhivala and Roger Eichens. Most recently, she was awarded a Humera Fellowship for Teachers to attend the Summer 2014 Dathun Meditation Retreat with senior teacher Acharya Allyn Lyon at Shambhala Mountain Center.
Why teach at The Studio?
The Studio has something special. It feels like a haven from busy lives, open, warm, relaxed, non-competitive and thoughtful. I appreciate that the scope for the space is more than the physical.
